Covid 19 Frequently asked questions

No one should attend the event if:

They are experiencing symptoms common to Covid19 (high temperature, continuous cough, loss of taste or smell)

They or anyone in their family has had symptoms in the last 14 days

They have been contacted by the official Test Trace Isolate Service

In all the above cases, people should isolate as necessary.

How can you guarantee I won't catch COVID-19 at COTW?

We have taken all of the appropriate measures to help keep you safe and minimise the risk of infection of COVID-19. These include social distancing measures from the second you enter the festival site. We have an enhanced cleaning team employed (CLEAN SWEEP) who will continually be refreshing all toilets and fogging each building at the end of every day.

However,  it is imperative that you follow all of the guidelines and notices that will be displayed all around the festival site to support all of our measures that have been put in place.

If you require an absolute guarantee based on medical advice, please Do Not Attend.

I have agreed to roll over my ticket from May to September. Is there anything at all I need to do before arriving at the festival site?

No, your ticket is valid for COTW 2020 in September. We look forward to seeing you!

How much is Car Parking if I'm only staying for the day?

These have been extremely challenging times for us all so we have decided to help in whatever small way we can. So, car parking will be Free of Charge in 2020.

Will I still be able to meet the bands for the Signing tent?

Many bands have already agreed to do signings and we are working closely with MMH to ensure we can do this safely and within Government Guidelines. At no point will we attempt to enforce a signing session so please note these are subject to change and possibly with very short notice.

Can I bring my own food & drink into the arena?

We have a great selection of food traders and bars who like us all have had a rough time of it due to lockdown restrictions. This may be their only opportunity to trade this year so we encourage you to sample their delicious food and drinks.

I don't think I can enjoy the festival if I have to wear a mask. Can I get a refund on this basis?

We think you will quickly forget you're wearing a mask and still have the best time out this year.

However, we will honour all refund requests.  Please be advised that the current time frame to receive a refund in your account is 12 weeks from request date.

I have bought the COTW merchandise bundle from Pay It Forward. When will I receive this?

Once you have cleared the temperature check and have been issued with your wristband, your bundle will be ready to collect just a few metres further on at entry.

I'm coming with friends who are already in my social bubble. Can I sit with them in the arena?

We advise that you follow the same guidelines outlined by the government regarding social bubbles.

You say the event has social distancing guidelines in place and that you've taken great care to meet COVID-19 risk assessments.  How can you prove that?

The event has been held to task by the Safety Advisory Group for the region and they have worked closely with us through the planning and implementation of the government's safety measures.

This is an incredibly thorough process and every detail is questioned and answered within all of our Event Management Plans, Risk Assessments,  Health & Safety and Fire Safety.

What happens to my ticket if an area in which I live comes under local lockdown just before the festival?

If your ticket is not scanned in at ticket/wristband exchange it will automatically roll over to the 2021 event. ALL tickets not scanned in at ticket/wristband exchange for COTW 2020 will roll over to May 2021. So, regardless of it being a local lockdown or you no longer feel it safe to attend, you WILL not lose your money.

What will happen if Lincolnshire is put into local lockdown over the weekend of the festival?

We will seek immediate advice on all measures we are required to take if such a thing was to happen. However,  regardless of how it may seem on TV or via media platforms, such a  decision would be brought to our attention via the Safety Advisory Group long before the start of the festival.

Can I arrive on Thursday?

Thursday is strictly for VIP only. This is a stringent part of our process of breaking down the amount of people who arrive on site at one time. So please do not attempt to gain access on site without a VIP upgrade purchase.

Can I arrive & buy a ticket on the gate?

No. Only those with advance tickets purchased before Thursday 17th Sept 2020 will be permitted entry beyond the 1st check point.

THIS IS A STRICTLY LIMITED CAPACITY EVENT IN SEPTEMBER SO PLEASE PURCHASE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.
